In response to COVID-19, Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum temporarily closed its doors to visitors as of March 15th. Like so many others, we are unsure of when we will be able to reopen. Thankfully, some of our employees remain working from home. While we are working from our homes, we continue to focus on our mission: envisioning ways to engage you, our members and visitors in this new age of caution, and prepare for when we can open again.

With what is traditionally our busiest season coming up, our income is being hit badly. Based on our average revenue, the museum lost more than $10,000 in the first twelve days of closure. We’re expecting to have this loss each week we are closed through May, with lost admissions income as well as cancelling all exhibits and events through June.

We know many people are being hit badly by Coronavirus and its impact on the economy, at a time when we need your support more than ever. If you are able to support Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum directly during this challenging period, please consider a one-time or recurring donation. The Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible as allowable. Your gift means more now than ever before.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
