"Valley Views…a picture postcard perspective of historic Santa Ynez Valley" with… "Layers" – a unique photography exhibit The Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum’s current exhibit “Valley Views…a picture postcard perspective of the Santa Ynez Valley” will be featured in the Historical Museum’s Valley Room from March 3 - June 24. This exhibit features a fascinating display of photographic postcards of Santa Ynez Valley sights and scenes during the time span 1900 – 1970. Running concurrently is a special photography exhibit titled “Layers” by Kam Jacoby, noted local photographer. Jacoby’s display of unique photographic work melds historic and contemporary photographs of the Santa Ynez Valley together in one composite photograph, creating an almost eerie blurring of the boundaries between the past and present. |
